This is a tool that allows you to instance objects based on a color map. The color map will be projected onto the mesh and all the colors in the image will be identified.
Objects can then be instanced onto these colors. The tool allows for instancing onto landscapes (in UE4) and other meshes and is fully functional with the Houdini Engine.

The tool can be a bit unstable in Houdini because of the multiple multi-parms to detect the colors in the images. It should have no issue when using the Houdini Engine.
I am using a color grid for these examples but all kinds of images can be used. The only thing to look out for is using to many colors, but the “ColorDecimals” can help with that.
